<;P>;PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exterminate and remove Ascidia zara adhered to marine-cultured scallops by a relatively simple method, safely in a short time, and also with leaving the scallops alive. <;P>;SOLUTION: The method includes the following process: branched ropes 52 attached with scallops under marine culture with their ear parts hung thereon are lifted above the sea level by a working crane 20 or the like, and a circular guide 40 is externally engaged on the branched ropes 52; then, while granular or powdery dry ice, together with compressed air, is jetted via a jet nozzle 31 attached toward the center of the circular guide, the branched ropes 52 are gradually lifted to strike the dry ice against the Ascidia zara adhered 70 to the scallops 60 attached to the branched ropes 52; thereby, the crusts of the Ascidia zara 70 are broken, ejecting the body fluid thereof to effect the Ascidia zara's death; and when the resultant branched ropes 52 thus treated are plunged undersea again, the exterminated Ascidia zara are exposed to marine current or putrefied or the like, resulting in their coming off the scallops 60 and removal. <;P>;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
