In a method for producing a lens (2), in particular aspectacle lens, central aberrations of an eye (1), tobe corrected, of an ametropic person, such as sphere,cylinder and axis, are compensated. At least one refractingsurface (9, 10) of the lens (2) is configuredsuch that for at least one direction of view both a dioptriccorrection of the ametropia is performed and aberrationsof higher order are corrected.
