The purpose of the present invention is to provide a pet case with active sterilizing and therapeutic functions which is capable of accomplishing a sterilizing function and a therapeutic function in an active and economical manner by installing a light source unit that emits ultraviolet and infrared rays and a sensor unit that detects existence/nonexistence and status of a pet, and forming a structure that automatically controls lighting of the light source unit according to the existence/nonexistence and status of the pet detected in the sensor unit. The pet case according to the present invention comprises: a housing in which an accommodation space is formed such that a pet is capable of inhabiting in the accommodation space a sensor unit which is installed at the housing to detect the existence/nonexistence of the pet a control unit which controls an optical signal such that the optical signal is outputted as pre-stored lighting information when the pet is detected in the sensor unit and a light source unit which is installed on an inner side surface of the housing to emit a light that performs at least one of sterilization and therapy according to an optical signal output of the control unit.
