PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paving material-sticking type tree keeper, capable of keeping good view matching with the surrounding pavement environment, having excellent strength and exhibiting high durability. SOLUTION: This tree keeper surrounds the periphery of a trunk of a tree 4 planted in a site 1, and covers the site 1. The tree keeper has a receiving frame 10 installed in the site 1 and having a nearly U-shaped cross section, a trestle 22 installed in the inside region of the receiving frame 10, a plurality of lid plates 14a to 14d housed in the inside of the receiving fame 10 so as to surround the trunk of the tree 4 and cover the ground of the site. The lid plates 14a to 14d are supported by a horizontal wall of the receiving frame 10 having the U-shaped cross section, and the upper surface of the trestle 22 installed in the inside region of the receiving frame 10.
