The present invention provides a method of expressing an antigen molecule or a part of an antigen molecule on the cell surface, using a photochemical internalization method that is enhanced by using cytokines, preferably GM-CSF. This method can be used to stimulate an immune response and to various therapeutic or prophylactic methods.
