PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonwoven fabric which is excellent in cushioning properties and surface dry feeling and is useful as a component of an absorbent article such as a surface sheet.SOLUTION: On a first surface 10a, a plurality of concavities 51, each of which is recessed on the first surface 10a side and is protruded in a convex form on a second surface 10b side, are formed at predetermined intervals in a first direction X so as to each traverse a linear groove part 11 which extends in the first direction X, in a second direction Y intersecting the first direction X. The plurality of concavities 51 each have a length in the traversing direction (the second direction) Y greater than the length in the traversing direction Y of the groove part 11 traversed by each concavity 51. At a part corresponding to each concavity 51 on the second surface 10b, a third protrusion part 61 which is constituted by the concavity 51 and is protruded in a convex form to the second surface 10b side is formed. The protrusion height of a top part 61a of the third protrusion part 61 is equal to or greater than the protrusion height of a top part 41a of a second protrusion part 41.
