A method and a system of monitoring changes in a lesion state by using an ultrasonic echo signal reflected from an object are disclosed. The lesion monitoring method comprises: a first step of establishing ROI data for the lesion from an ultrasonic image reflected from an object； a second step of generating a fundamental image and a harmonic image from an ultrasonic echo signal for the object into which a contrast agent is injected； a third step of generating amended ROI data by tracking the position of the lesion on the basis of the ROI data in the fundamental image； and a fourth step of quantifying the lesion in the harmonic image on the basis of the amended ROI data.대상체로부터 반사된 초음파 에코신호를 이용하여 병소의 상태 변화를 모니터링하는 방법 및 시스템이 개시된다. 병소 상태 모니터링 방법은, 대상체로부터 반사된 초음파 이미지에서 병변에 대한 ROI 데이터를 설정하는 제1 단계, 상기 대상체에 조영제가 주입된 상태에서 상기 대상체에 대한 초음파 에코 신호로부터 펀더멘탈 이미지와 하모닉 이미지를 생성하는 제2 단계, 상기 펀더멘탈 이미지에서 상기 ROI 데이터를 기초로 상기 병변의 위치를 추적하여 수정된 ROI 데이터를 생성하는 제3 단계 및 상기 수정된 ROI 데이터를 기초로 상기 하모닉 이미지에서 상기 병변을 정량화하는 제4 단계를 포함한다.
