PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic which has a thick liquid feeling when massaging during application, is easy to spread on the skin, and can give a high penetration feeling by disappearance of the liquid when allowing the skin to absorb the liquid, causing a change of the liquid feeling of the cosmetic penetrating into the skin, and reducing a slimy feeling during application.SOLUTION: The invention provides a cosmetic containing the following components (A), (B), (C), and (D): (A) 0.05-5 mass% of one or more kinds of sugar alcohol selected from mannitol, xylitol, and erythritol (B) 0.005-2 mass% of one or more kinds of silicones selected from alkyl glyceryl ether modified silicone, polyoxyalkylene modified silicone, and polyether alkyl modified silicone (C) 0.0005-1 mass% of water-soluble polymer and (D) water. The mass ratio (A)/(B) of the components (A) and (B) is 0.1-50.
