PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic excellent in groomed hair-maintaining properties, without having a stiff feeling peculiar to a film-forming polymer, excellent in smooth finger-passing property and imparting natural gloss.

SOLUTION: This hair cosmetic contains (A) water, (B) a film-forming polymer containing a carboxy group and (C) at least one selected from the group consisting of amine alkylene oxide adduct materials. As desired, it may contain (D) a polyhydric alcohol.
