The main unit supplies power and gas to the applicator through the connector hose. The applicator includes a plasma generator for generating nitrogen monoxide (NO) in a plasma state. The main unit includes a user interface that enables a user to control at least one operational aspect of the device. The applicator includes a handgrip grip handle, a trigger for actuating the plasma generator, a hose connection for coupling to the connector hose, and a cow portion for spacing the tip of the plasma generator from the treatment site by a predetermined distance.
