The present invention relates to a cork filter for an aquarium and an aquarium filter system using the same. The cork filter of the present invention includes the following components. Square casings includes a hollow structure with upper and bottom parts opened. A cork filter member includes several square filters made of carbonized corks and designed to be successively stacked in the casings in order. The filters at the top and the bottom are exposed to the casings. A connecting pipe includes a cylindrical pipe made of synthetic resins and passing through the cork filter member, and several cylindrical through-holes around the outer circumference of the pipe. At least one suction pipe is installed in the filters at the top and the bottom of the cork filter member to be linked to the connecting pipe.
