The present invention relates to a root-specific promoter, an expression vector including the root-specific promoter, a transgenic plant transformed by the expression vector, and a preparation method thereof. The promoter specifically controls an expression of a gene required for improving a trait of the root of rice. The promoter can be applied to researches for enhancing the resistance of roots of major grains including rice to environmental stresses. In addition, the promoter is expected to be used to improve agricultural traits of root plants.본 발명은 뿌리에 특이적으로 발현하는 프로모터, 이 프로모터를 포함하는 발현 벡터, 이 발현 벡터로 형질 전환된 형질전환체 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것이다.본 발명의 프로모터는 벼의 뿌리의 형질 개선에 필요한 유전자 발현을 특이적으로 조절함으로써, 벼를 포함하는 주요 곡물의 뿌리에 대한 환경 스트레스 내성 증진을 위한 연구에 활용될 수 있으며, 뿌리 작물의 농업적 형질을 개량하는데 이용될 전망이다.
