PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide conveying equipment for transferring articles, particularly, eggs, which enables each unit to be rapidly and surely replaced in a large-scale sorting apparatus.SOLUTION: A plurality of pieces of conveying equipment constituted in at least one row are provided in a plane with at least one height, which is arranged under an endless sorting conveyor. After the articles are discharged to the plurality of pieces of conveying equipment from the sorting conveyor by a prescribed method and received by the plurality of pieces of conveying equipment, they are sent out to packaging equipment below the plurality of pieces of conveying equipment. Each of the pieces of conveying equipment is equipped with at least first and second elements. The first and second elements are separated from/brought into contact with each other, and relatively moved from a storage position to receive the articles, to a discharge position to send out the articles downward. At least one row is installed on one conveyer in the state of being built in a frame. Engaging parts are provided at both the ends of the row, so that the conveyor, wherein the row is installed, can be replaced and engaged.
