PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection needle preventing a finger and the like from touching a needle tip and being injured, and to provide an injection needle uniformizing a protrusion dimension of a needle and administering a drug solution to a targetted depth of the skin.SOLUTION: The injection needle comprises: a hub 2 a needle 4 attached to the hub 2 so as to protrude from the tip of the hub 2 and a substantially cylindrical protective cover 6 covering the periphery of the needle 4. The hub 2 includes a cylindrical attachment part 11 at the tip of the hub 2, and the attachment part 11 is formed with a recessed part 12, the tip side of which is opened. The needle 4 is disposed to pass through the recessed part 12. The protective cover 6 includes a base part 21 to be attached to the attachment part 11, a bellows-like expansion/contraction part extending from the base part 21, and a protection part 23 extending from the expansion/contraction part 22. The protection part 23 is formed thicker compared with that of the expansion/contraction part, and the tip of the needle 4 is located at the protection part 23.
