PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and simple device for automatically sterilizing and sterilizing a sterilization target member without human hands, and to provide a sterilizing device in consideration of safety to a human body. SOLUTION: This is an ultraviolet sterilization device that irradiates a member to be sterilized with ultraviolet light to sterilize, and an LED ultraviolet light source that emits ultraviolet light for sterilization, and a person approaching the ultraviolet sterilization device. A detector that generates a signal according to the separation and a control unit that controls turning on/off of the ultraviolet light source are provided, and the control unit controls the ultraviolet light source according to the output of the detector.
