The present invention relates to a synergistically active composition comprising (a) phlorizin and (b) at least one more specifically defined inhibitor of the enzyme lactase-phlorizin hydrolase. More particularly, the present invention relates to a composition of this kind for treatment and/or prophylaxis of a hyperglycaemic disorder, for example obesity, diabetes or a sequela caused by diabetes. The invention further relates to the use of a composition of this kind for production of a pharmaceutical composition, a dietetic food and/or a food supplement. The invention additionally relates to pharmaceutical compositions, to dietetic foods and to food supplements which comprise a composition according to the present invention.
