PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent excellent in softness and absorbance and preventing SAP (super absorbent polymer) from falling off during its manufacture and use, its manufacture process and a disposable diaper made with the absorbent.
SOLUTION: An absorbent 1A includes a base sheet 2 made of a flexible material, a particulate super-absorbent polymer (SAP particles 4) and a pulp mat 6 made of a pulp composite containing at least pulp and formed into a mat. A super-absorbent sheet 10A is formed from a SAP composite 8 containing at least SAP particles 4 to keep fixed on the base sheets 2. The super-absorbent sheets 10A and pulp mat 6 have a laminated structure. The super-absorbent sheet 10A has the form of a plate-like structure where the SAP particles 4 are combined with other SAP particles together to keep fixed on the base sheets 2, and this plate-like structure is broken at least in part.
