Disclosed is a method for producing an extended-release preparationcomposition which is characterized bycom-prising a spray-drying step wherein a composition containing (1) an activecomponent, (2) a resin component and (3) a solvent isspray-dried using a spray dryer, while controlling the outlet temperature ofthe spray dryer. The method is also characterized inthat the solvent content in the composition after the spray drying is not morethan 5% by mass and the composition after the spraydrying substantially contains no decomposition products of the activecomponent.
