The present invention relates to an anti-inflammatory active composition containing a Beauveria sungii butanol fraction (BSBF) as an active ingredient. The BSBF according to the present invention inhibits the activation of NFkB by controlling the generation of NO caused by iNOS and COX-2 which are known as important factors of inflammatory reaction and by controlling the phoshorylation of IkB so that COX-2 expression is controlled.
