PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical composition and a food product having the effect of preventing CNS diseases and inhibiting the progress thereof.SOLUTION: The pharmaceutical composition according to the present invention contains an extract from camomile and is used for preventing and treating CNS diseases. As the extract from camomile is contained, CRE dependent transcriptional activity is promoted, and the expression of a memory learning-related gene is enhanced.
