PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nature-derived bird repellant safe to human or birds.SOLUTION: There is provided a harmless bird repellant containing a thickener of 30 to 70 mass%, a pungency component of 1 to 50 mass%, and an essential oil of 0.1 to 20 mass%, and the thickener, the pungency component and the essential oil are derived from plants. There is provided a bird repellant harmless to human, animals and birds in which the pungency component is azadirachtin and the essential oil is a peppermint essential oil. The bird repellant harmless to human or birds having no problem when put into the mouth and a repellent effect is maintained is provided because the composition is a composition by blending the thickener, the pungency component and the essential oil.
