Face/Body wash, creams, Lotions, talcum powder etc to kill and/or reduce the population if bacteria present in the oral cavity and skin soft tissues, thus giving the desired hygienic benefit from the product. The present invention further relates to a process for manufacture of silica and metal oxide composites, wherein the silica is deposited with antimicrobial metal oxides to form a composite structure.
