The invention relates to essential goods and, in particular, to the field of dental surgery. More specifically, the invention relates to the use of compositions containing natural or synthetic opal dispersed in a polymer material that can be easily polymerised or melted and are intended for safely and efficiently increasing the amount of material about an implant or the root of a tooth. The compositions of the invention contain from 0.5 to 20 % of natural or synthetic opal and preferably from 1 to 10 % of opal. The invention also relates to the use of same in order to trigger the migration of cells and particularly of gingival keratocytes, osteoblasts, cementoblasts or fibroblasts.
