A method of crimping a stent, comprising: (a) loading the stent on a mandrel； (b) placing the stent in a crimper； (c) reducing the stent profile to a first diameter； (d) loading the stent onto a balloon of a catheter delivery system after step (c)； (e) placing the stent and the ball back in the crimper； (f) pressurizing the balloon and heating a distal end of the catheter delivery system within the crimper to cause the balloon to rest between struts of the stent and reduce the crimper to a second diameter； and (g) after step (f), moving the linker between the second and third diameter to reduce the diameter of the stent to a final diameter.Un método para engarzar un stent, que comprende: (a) cargar el stent en un mandril； (b) colocar el stent en un engarzador； (c) reducir el perfil del stent a un primer diámetro； (d) cargar el stent sobre un balón de un sistema de suministro de catéter tras la etapa (c)； (e) colocar el stent y el balón de vuelta en el engarzador； (f) presurizar el balón y calentar un extremo distal del sistema de suministro de catéter dentro del engarzador para hacer que el balón se apoye entre struts del stent y reducir el engarzador a un segundo diámetro； y (g) tras la etapa (f), mover el engarzador entre el segundo y tercer diámetro para reducir el diámetro del stent a un diámetro final.
