PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air supply device prevented from deterioration and/or malfunction due to heavy load: and to provide an endoscope system.SOLUTION: The air supply device includes: a control circuit 10 controlling drive of an air supply pump 20 a main piping 54 through which an output port of the air supply pump 20 and a connecting port 58 to which a piping at the side of an endoscope is connected, are linked a branch pipe 56 branched from the main piping 54 a safety valve 40 connected to the branch pipe 56 and provided with a movable valve moving to a position corresponding to the inner pressure of the branch pipe 56 and detection means for detecting the movable valve of the safety valve 40 only when the inner pressure of the branch pipe 56 exceeds first pressure.
