PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyurethane elastic yarn having excellent elongation, recovery, heat resistance and chemical resistance, and suitable for a stretchable textile and clothes, and to provide a method for producing the yarn.
SOLUTION: The polyurethane elastic yarn composed of a polyurethane produced from a polymer diol and a diisocyanate as main constituent components contains a synthetic carbonate of an alkali metal and/or an alkaline earth metal. The method for producing the polyurethane elastic yarn includes adding the synthetic carbonate of the alkali metal and/or the alkaline earth metal to a polyurethane solution, and spinning the resultant solution.
