PURPOSE: An antibiotic peptide with a simple constitution and short length is provided to ensure strong antibacterial property and to be used as a candidate substance for developing novel antibiotics. CONSTITUTION: A peptide with antibiotic activity contains sequence numbers 1-12. A pharmaceutical composition contains the peptide as an active ingredient. An antibacterial composition against microorganism contains the peptide as an active ingredient. The peptide contains an amino acid sequence of sequence number 9 or 10. The microorganism is a gram positive or gram negative bacteria. The gram positive bacteria are subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermis, Micrococcus luteus, or MRSA(methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus). The gram negative bacteria are Escherichia coli, Shigella dysentariae, Salmonella typhomurium, Klebsiella pneumoniae, or Pseudomonas aeruginosa.본 발명은 3종 아미노산으로 설계 및 제조되어 간단한 조성과 짧은 길이를 가지는 항생 펩타이드에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 루신과 라이신을 이용하여 양친매성(amphipathic) 나선성을 부여하고, 2개의 트립토판 잔기가 친수성 말단부와 소수성 시작부 사이의 임계 양친매성 경계면에 위치하는 7에서 11 잔기를 가지는 항생 펩타이드에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 펩타이드들은 천연 AMP들이나 기존에 보고된 다른 펩타이드인 omiganan(ILRWPWWPWRRK-NH2)에 비해 항균성이 강력하고, 길이가 짧으며, 단순한 조성을 가지기 때문에, 새로운 항생제 개발에 유용한 후보물질로 이용될 수 있다.
