The invention relates to a device for restricting flow in brain aneurysms and to an assembly for positioning and releasing same, wherein the device comprises a body made from a radially expandable, laminar material and consisting of a succession of arms connected together by means of joining bridges between which cells are defined, the cells being openings that pass through the body. The body comprises: a general peripheral high-porosity zone having the largest cells an intermediate medium-porosity zone surrounded by the general peripheral high-porosity zone and having intermediate-sized cells and a central low-porosity zone surrounded by the intermediate medium-porosity zone and having the smallest cells, such that the device can be implanted in the neck of the aneurysm to restrict the inflow towards same, without blocking the normal blood flow in the main vessel and adjacent vessels where the devices installed. According to the invention, a system for navigating, positioning and releasing the device is also provided, allowing the specialist to manipulate the device and appropriately implant same according to the requirements of each patient.1.
