Disclosed are an immunomodulatory agent, and in particular an activating STING compound and uses thereof acting as an immunomodulatory agent in preparing a drug. Also disclosed is/are a compound represented by formula I, a stereoisomer thereof, a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, a solvate thereof, a prodrug thereof, or uses of a metabolite in preparing an STING-activating drug, and providing a new option for clinical screening and/or preparation of a drug for treating STING-associated diseases.
