Described herein is a contrast agent for administration to a subject. The contrast agent includes a targeting portion that includes an unchelated aminocarboxylate functional group a metal ion bound to a metal-complexable portion and a linker joining the targeting portion and the metal-complexable portion of the contrast agent. The portion that is not bound to a metal ion is for binding to necrotic tissue in the subject.Linvention concerne un agent de contraste pour administration à un patient. Ledit agent de contraste comporte une partie de ciblage qui renferme notamment un groupe fonctionnel daminocarboxylate non chélaté un ion métallique lié à une partie complexable par un métal, et un lieur joignant la partie de ciblage et la partie complexable par un métal de lagent de contraste. La partie qui nest pas liée à un ion métallique est destinée à se lier au tissu nécrotique chez le patient.
