PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing insulin-like growth factor binding protein-3 is provided to prevent the entry of inflammatory cells into the bronchial alveolar. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for treating acute lung injuries and acute respiratory distress syndrome contains insulin-like growth factor binding protein-3(IGFBP-3) having an amino acid of sequence number 1 as an active ingredient. The composition is used in the form of a powder, granule, tablet, capsule, suspension, emulsion, syrup, oral formulation of aerosol, external use formulation, suppository, or injection. The composition is administered by airway injection.본 발명은 인슐린 유사 성장인자 결합 단백질-3을 함유하는 급성 폐 손상 및 급성 호흡곤란증후군 치료용 약학적 조성물을 제공한다.본 발명의 인슐린 유사 성장인자 결합 단백질-3은 기도 점막조직에 염증을 일으키는 대식세포(macrophage), 림프구(lymphocytes), 중성구(neutrophils), 또는 호산구(eosinophils) 등의 염증 세포의 기관지 폐포로의 유입을 방지하고, 기도 과민성을 완화시키며, 혈관내피세포성장인자(VEGF)의 폐 조직 내 발현을 억제하고, 기관지 폐포의 혈관 투과성을 감소시킴으로써, 급성 폐 손상 및 급성 호흡곤란증후군의 치료에 효과적으로 이용할 수 있다.
