PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guidewire which can be prevented from excessive jumping.SOLUTION: This guidewire includes: a core shaft having a diameter that decreases from a proximal end portion toward a distal end portion and a coil wound around the outer periphery of the distal end portion. The distal end portion is bent at a bending portion separated from the most distal end portion of the core shaft, and the cross-sectional shape of the core shaft in the bending portion is a round shape.
