Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Vorbereiten eines Einstichs einer Insertionsnadel (8) in Unterhautfettgewebe eines Patienten, wobei eine Insertionsvorrichtung (3), welche die Insertionsnadel (8) enthält, an die Haut eines Patienten angelegt wird. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass die Haut durch Einwirkung der Insertionsvorrichtung (3) verformt und dabei eine Hautfläche (1a) stufen- oder hangartig ansteigend so angeordnet wird, dass die Insertionsnadel (8) auf die stufen- oder hangartig ansteigende Hautfläche (1a) deutet.
