Provided is a functional gum containing phytoncide extracted from cypress. A gum composition of the present invention comprises a gum base, a softener, flavoring, a sweetener and an additive, wherein the composition contains phytoncide and, more preferably, can be manufactured by a gum base of 21 to 29 wt%, a softener of 0.1 to 0.6 wt%, D-sorbitol of 40 to 55 wt%, isomalt of 2 to 10 wt%, xylitol of 5 to 20 wt%, phytoncide of 2 to 4 wt%, aspatame of 0.001 to 0.002 wt%, flavoring of 1 to 2.5 wt%, tricalcium phosphate of 0.1 to 2 wt%, dextranase of 0.04 to 0.2 wt% and coloring of 1 to 2 wt%.편백나무로부터 추출된 피톤치드를 함유하는 기능성 껌을 제공한다.본 발명은 껌 베이스, 연화제, 향료, 감미료 및 첨가제로 이루어진 껌 조성물에 있어서, 상기 조성에 피톤치드를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 보다 바람직하게는 껌베이스 21 ∼ 29 중량%, 연화제 0.1 ∼ 0.6 중량%, D-솔비톨 40 ∼ 55 중량%, 이소말트 2 ∼ 10 중량%, 자일리톨 5 ∼ 20 중량%, 피톤치드 2 ∼ 4 중량%, 아스파탐 0.001 ∼ 0.002 중량%, 향료 1 ∼ 2.5 중량%, 제3인산칼슘 0.1 ∼ 2 중량%, 덱스트라나아제 0.04 ∼ 0.2 중량%, 색소 1 ∼ 2 중량%로 제조 될 수 있다.
