An artificial blood vessel comprising a tubular expandable ECM member and at least one anchoring mechanism. In one embodiment, the anchoring mechanism includes proximal and distal single or double ring anchors. In one embodiment, the anchoring mechanism includes multiple ring anchors. The anchor preferably comprises a biodegradable metal such as magnesium. The anchor may also include a shape memory alloy such as Nitinol and a cross-linked ECM material.
