This invention relates to an innovation of designing and using a device for drug delivery to the brain by bypassing the blood brain barrier without any need for any surgical manipulation of the brain. Drug can be deposited either beneath or above the respiratory mucosa in the maxillary sinus or the nasal region depending on the clinical requirements. The drug distributes into the brain from the delivery site by bypassing the blood brain barrier without causing any significant increase of the drug in the peripheral circulation. The device can be used for continuous and controlled drug delivery into the brain by bypassing the blood brain barrier.
