A floor element 1 has two abutting sides 3 and 5 across from each other beside which, when used in a stall floor, neighbouring floor elements are positioned. The floor element 1 has a flat walking surface 6 that has a slot grid for discharging urine. The slot grid has main slots 7 which extend transversely to the abutting sides 3, 5 as well as transverse slots 9 which extend from one of the main slots to a neighbouring main slot.Sub-faces of the walking surface 6 are present between two neighbouring main slots and two neighbouring transverse slots. Grooves 11A and 11B are present in the sub-faces, so that the feet of the cattle have more grip on the walking surface and the chance of the cattle slipping is slimmer than when grooves in the floor elements are lacking.
