The present invention provides antagonists of acetylcholine receptors for the treatment of skin conditions. The present invention achieves treatment of skin conditions without causing the severe damage to the skin associated with antagonism of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. In certain embodiments, the present disclosure provides methods of treating a skin condition comprising a step of administering to a subject suffering from or susceptible to a skin condition a substance that antagonizes acetylcholine receptors.
