PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for attaching an IC tag in which a communication between the IC tag and a reader is improved, and an IC tag built-in metal body, capable of preferably reading/writing information stored in the IC tag by the reader.SOLUTION: A concave part 4 for housing an IC tag 2 to a clamp 1 as an individual identification management is formed, and a rough surface is formed by radiating a laser beam onto a bottom part of the concave part 4 and an inner peripheral surface of a side part. A base of an adhesion agent is formed by coating the adhesion agent onto the rough surface, the IC tag 2 is mounted on the base, and thereby the entire IC tag 2 is coated and sealed with the adhesion agent. In the concave part 4, an upper part and one to three side parts open.
