An agricultural baler (10) includes a main bale chamber (26) having a pair of opposed side walls (40), with each side wall (40) having a plunger slot arrangement defining a plunger slot (42). Each plunger slot has opposite ends (55) and is open at an inside adjacent to a plunger (30). A pair of rotating elements (52) are positioned within each plunger slot (42), with each rotating element (52) being located at a corresponding end (55) of a respective plunger slot (42). A pair of plunger slot belts (50) are each positioned in association with a respective plunger slot (42) and partially wrap a respective pair of rotating elements (52) associated with each plunger slot (42).
