The interface portion is connected to a universal interface comprising a feed passage, a pressure passage and an inhalation port. The rod has proximal and distal ends. The proximal end is inserted into the nose space, while the distal end has a female end hermetically inserted into one of the patients nostrils. The rod comprises a pear-shaped portion it is fixed inside the patients nose thereby attaching a nasal mask with using no head belt.
