A vaccine for a bird comprising a toxoid alpha antigen of C. perfringens type A, in which said antigen has 2 or more units of Total Combination Power (TCP), provided that only one toxoid alpha antigen of a unique type of C. perfringens in said vaccine and wherein the vaccine comprises an adjuvant, the adjuvant is not an aluminum hydroxide and the adjuvant is comprised in a water-in-oil emulsion together with the antigen.Una vacuna para un ave que comprende un antigeno toxoide alfa de C. perfringens de tipo A, en la que dicho antigeno tiene 2 o mas unidades de Potencia de Combinacion Total (TCP), a condicion de que solo este presente un antigeno toxoide alfa de un unico tipo de C. perfringens en dicha vacuna y en donde la vacuna comprenda un adyuvante, el adyuvante no sea un hidroxido de aluminio y el adyuvante este comprendido en una emulsion de agua-en-aceite junto con el antigeno.
