To provide an absorbent article which does not develop deodorant function thereof before contact with a body fluid and surely exhibits the deodorant function by the contact with the body fluid, and enables the deodorant function to be substantially equalized over the entire of the absorbent article and which is easily handled in the manufacture.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 is provided that comprises an absorber 2 containing pulp and highly absorbent polymer 5. A cyclodextrin complex 7 in which a substance having a deodorant function such as perfume is included in the cyclodextrin is added to the surface of the highly absorbent polymer 5.
