An apparatus for detecting an analyte in a sample of material includes a chamber for receiving an eluted sample of material from a sample acquisition device and a testing device adapted to detect the analyte. At least a part of the apparatus assembly is moveable between a sample preparation orientation and a testing orientation.Device for supply of breathing gas has a signal processing device for generating a pressure control signal (P) based on the indicated breathing state and physiological condition supplied by a sensor signal (S). The signal processing unit comprises a signal input device (1) and an extraction device (2) for generating data field entries (3) from given signal analysis procedures. A pressure control signal generator (4) generates the pressure control signal based on one or more of the data field entries. An independent claim is made for a CPAP device with automatic pressure regulation based on the physiological requirements of a patient.
