PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper in which fastening tapes are hardly released even when applying force due to the movement of a wearing person and which is excellent in use feeling by enhancing the joint force of the fastening tapes so that both side areas of the fastening tapes do not become hard.
SOLUTION: The disposable diaper 1A includes the fastening tapes 6 on both sides of a back side part B, where hook materials 63 obtained by arranging a plurality of engagement projections 62 on the front surfaces of base sheets 61 are joined onto sheet materials 64 via the rear surfaces of the base sheets 61. In the disposable diaper 1A, joint strength between the base sheets 61 and the sheet materials 64 in the fastening tapes 6 is made to be stronger in the center joint areas 6a of the base sheets 61 in the width direction (the X-direction) of the disposable diaper 1A than in the pair of side joint areas 6b, 6b positioned on both sides holding the center areas 6a between the areas 6b, 6b.
