PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orthodontic bracket including a self-ligation mechanism and having a smooth surface shape without any projection or the like.SOLUTION: The orthodontic bracket 3 defines the surface shape of a bracket body 11 by a convexly curved surface 15, and an arch wire slot 12 is formed at the convexly curved surface 15 as a vertical slot. In a state where the bracket is fixed to a tooth surface, the surface of the bracket body with which the tongue and the oral cavity inner face come into contact is the convexly curved surface 15, and the arch wire slot 12 is opened at the upper-face side 16 and left/right lateral sides 18 and 19 of the convexly curved surface 15 such that the tongue or the oral cavity inner face scarcely comes into contact with the opening edges thereof. Different from the conventional one, this bracket hardly gives discomfort in the wearing state, thereby becoming less likely to cause harmful effects such as having laceration on the tongue or the like.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】セルフライゲーション機構を備え、表面の形状が滑沢で突起物等を有しない歯列矯正用ブラケットを提案すること。【解決手段】歯列矯正用ブラケット3では、ブラケット本体11の表面形状を凸曲面状表面15によって規定し、アーチワイヤースロット12を当該凸曲面状表面15に垂直スロットとして形成してある。歯面に固着した状態において舌、口腔内面が当たるブラケット本体部分の表面が凸曲面状表面15であり、アーチワイヤースロット12は凸曲面状表面15の上面側部分16および左右の側面側部分18、19に開口しているので、これらの開口縁に舌あるいは口腔内面が触れることは殆どない。従来とは異なり装着状態での違和感が殆どなく、舌等に裂傷ができるなどの弊害も殆ど発生しない。【選択図】図1
