PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for realizing increase in the amount of light outgoing from an end of a plastic optical fiber structure capable of being used for a luminaire, an endoscope, and the like.SOLUTION: A plastic optical fiber structure 10 includes a ring fiber 1 formed by aligning plural plastic optical fiber bare wires 2 in a longitudinal direction of a cylindrical resin body 3 in the resin body, all over in a circumferential direction. The ring fiber 1 has a worked end portion 11 formed by cutting an end portion of the ring fiber 1 in a longitudinal direction of the bare wires 2 and overlapping mutually different portions in a circumferential direction of the ring fiber so as to be thinner than a cylindrical portion 6 of the ring fiber. There are also provided a manufacturing method of the plastic optical fiber structure, and a luminaire and an endoscope using the plastic optical fiber structure.
