PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rapid exchange type catheter in which entanglement of a guide wire is suppressed.SOLUTION: A balloon catheter 10 includes a catheter body 14 having a second lumen 30 into which a guide wire G is inserted, and a base end port 30b for GW. The base end port 30b for GW is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the catheter body 14.
