PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of treating endothelial dysfunction of diabetical patients, particularly, a method of ameliorating endothelial functions in the treatment of disorders relevant to endothelial dysfunction (in both of large blood vessels and small blood vessels) of diabetical patients.

SOLUTION: The method of treating endothelial dysfunction of a diabetical patient including both diabete-induced large blood vessel disorders and diabete-induced small blood vessel disorders comprises administration, preferably, parenteral administration of an effective dose of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) to patients. The treatment is adopted for diabete-induced large blood vessel disorders selected from temporary ischemia attack, stroke, angina, cardiac infarction, cardiac failure and peripheral vascular disorders.
