PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method and a control device for a carrying track carriable while highly accurately positioning the boundary position of a composite sheet relative to an imparted pattern shape.

SOLUTION: This control method for the carrying track in a composite sheet carrying process is provided for imparting the pattern shape by superposing the other member on its downstream side, by carrying the composite sheet of joining a sub-sheet via a lap part to an end part in the longitudinal direction of a main sheet in the longitudinal direction, and detects a boundary part 100 between the lap part 10A and an unlapped part 10B in the carried composite sheet 10. The carrying track of the composite sheet is controlled on the upstream side based on a dislocating quantity from a reference position, and after imparting the pattern shape by superposing the composite sheet on an absorbing body 13, the boundary part 100 and a pattern shape part 111 of the composite sheet are detected. The track is controlled as the new reference position of the boundary part by correcting an upstream side reference position based on an interval between the boundary part and the patter shape part.
